The Learning Loop is a computer-based teaching tool that helps teachers
improve math learning for students in grades 6-12.
The Learning Loop consists of diagnostics, reviews, practice items
and the opportunity to explore math concepts. The diagnostic provides
an indication of the degree of student confidence in their knowledge
of key concepts from the California Math Standards as well as the
accuracy of that knowledge. Teachers can discover, in real time,
what concepts are the least clear for each student. Individualized
action plans are generated for each student.
The Learning Loop offers a structured review of concepts and directs
each student back to the teacher when additional help is needed.
The Learning Loop confirms when the student has a firm grasp of
the math concept and is ready to move on to the next area. The Learning
Loop is accessible through the web so students as well as their
parents can log on at home.
The Learning Loop's website offers free surveys for teachers to use with their students as diagnositics in General Math, Pre-Algebra, Algebra, Geometry and Algebra II.
